I will present a rigorous physical theory, backed by experiments, that provides an explanation of the selectivity, robustness and speed of the NPC transport..

I apply methods and concepts of physics, mathematics and chemistry to solve interesting problems in biology. Research in my lab encompasses several topics in biophysics and quantitative biology. Two main research directions are molecular transport by biological and artificial “nano-machines” and quantitative immunology. .
